My, Lakeview has changed a lot in the 16 years since we left Minden. I really don't recognize a lot of folks in the pictures section (except Wally Watts, Bebe Gulley, Mary Seney, Dolly Harrington , Felicia Cockrel).
I can remember like yesterday when Dawn and I and our one year old son Sam fiirst set foot in Lakeview Church. I remember that I thought Miss Ada Grigsby was going to lock us in the closet to keep us from getting away.
We worhshipped there for ten years before leaving for Houston. The folks at Lakeview saw us through good times and bad and we've always felt blessed and thought that our time in Minden were some of the best times of our lives.

Hello and Happy New Year to my extended church family(the Methodist call this connectionalism)(I learned that in seminary) I thought it was simply the Body of Christ loving one another. I am extending blessings and growth in all areas to the Body of Christ at Lakeview this year as you reach out and touch the city of Minden and even the world at large! Brother Leon and Mary Ann are wonderful leaders for you to follow. They love the Lord with all their hearts and souls. Keep them lifted up as they follow Jesus by being their for you. Thanks for maintaining this web site. It is a ministry in itself. Thank you also for prayers and support for our daughter Amber and her family following her accident. Thank you too for remembering Paul in your prayers. It means so much to him and our family.

just wanted to say thank you and God bless you all for boarding us during the hurricane gustave...we came to love minden and all of you that we met. it was so comforting to know there are people like you all who care so much for strangers.we have taken a lesson from you and will pass it on down here in houma .

p.s.--please tell wally that the chicken he brought us was way better than popeyes.
