I was born in Connecticut, as I say, to be close to my mother! We moved to Virginia when I was 

3- years-old. I was raised, and born again where the South begins, in Maryland. Continuing a long and proud family tradition, I joined the  Navy when Uncle Sam came calling and served ashore for 16 years, active and reserves. The first in my birth family to graduate from college, I later graduated from seminary, with emphasis in church history.  I was first called by God  to the ordained ministry at the age of 10, but had to wait to "get saved" first, around age 23. Answering God's second call to the ordained ministry at age 33 has taken the Sheehans from Maryland, through Alabama, to Louisiana, off to Kansas, and back home here. We have been circuit riding with the people called United Methodist for just about 18 years. I "married up" to my valentine, Lyn, and together we have  raised two bright and charming adult children, Nathan and Erin, who love us, the Church, and their Lord.
